| Google keeps showing DMOZ description, how can I stop them? |
|
Google and MSN now support the "noodp" meta tag, and
I recommend using it on every site. The format is
simple, just add the following between the
and tags in your pages:
That's it. Now, write a META description for your
home page so that Google won't just pick up a random
snippet when they show you in search results. Enjoy! Unfortunately, Yahoo doesn't have a "noyahoo" tag
yet, so if you do submit to the Yahoo directory as I
recommend, you may find that your Y! description
appears on Yahoo SERPs when your home page is
listed. It's the price you pay for a quality link,
above and beyond the $299 per year. Oh well, maybe
the world will be perfect next year. Dan Thies, SEO Coach
